Meet Pastor Kevin

Kevin Hardy oversees the daily operations of Bridgeport Church, bringing steady leadership and a genuine heart for people. His pastoral journey reflects a deep commitment to serving both his local community and the wider faith family he’s been called to support.

Kevin has served in a variety of roles within the church, including Worship Leader, Administrator, Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Executive Pastor. Since 2008, he has also been a First Response Chaplain, supporting Police, Fire, EMS, and disaster response teams with steady care and presence. At Bridgeport, Kevin serves as an elder and a member of the leadership team, helping guide the church with wisdom, humility, and a heart for service.

Kevin also serves as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping pastors to serve as First Response Chaplains. Through this work, the organization provides training and support for police, fire, and EMS personnel, helping them navigate work‑related trauma and stress while cultivating a healthy and resilient spiritual life.

Kevin is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary with a degree in Biblical Studies. He and his wife, Lynelle, have been married for 45 years and enjoy the joy and adventure of a growing family that now includes four children and seven grandchildren.
